Ornamental oval-shaped plate of painted and glazed ceramic, decorated with figures modeled in the round and in high relief of frog, crayfish, snake, two seashells and a Hermann’s tortoise, Testudo hermanni, on a bed of leaves. Palissy-ware style (in imitation of Bernard Palissy ca. 1510-1589). European, late 19th early 20th century. 35.00 x 27.00 cm. Acquired: Aubange, Belgium.
